Patrick Boocock made full use of home course advantage to win the 2008 AMBL/TATIL Open golf Tournament by two strokes at the St. Andrew’s Golf Course in Moka today.
Boocock carded a second round score of 76 to finish on 149.
Second-placed Christian De Meillac had the best score of the day with a 75, but this was not good enough to catch Boocock, and he finished on 151.
Defending champion Alderray Downes had a disappointing 79 on Day 2 to finish 2 strokes further back on 153.
Kelsey Lou Hing won the Ladies Division on 158 (77-81), beating veteran Amoy Chang Fong into second by four strokes, with Natalya Rahamatula a further stroke back in third.
Barry Ferdinand won the Seniors Category by two strokes from Arjoon Samlal.
Robert Grell had a consistent pair of 77s, to hold off Anthony Proudfoot in the Super Seniors for Over 60s.
Steve Durgadeen was the winner of the Men’s First Flight on 167 (80-87), a comfortable five strokes ahead of Andrew Renee.
